SUBJECT AND PREDICATE
(कर्ता) आणि (क्रियापद)
a. SUBJECT :-
(कर्ता)
The word or words which denote
the person or the thing about which some thing is said to be subject.

Ex…The beautiful girl is dancing.

In the upper ex. the underlined part is the
Subject of that sentence.

वरील वाक्यात अधोरेखित केलेला भाग हा subject आहे.

b. PREDICATE :-

The word or words which say something about the subject are called the predicate.

Ex. A beautiful girl is dancing.

In the above example the underlined part is the predicate of that sentence.

वरील वाक्यात अधोरेखित – केलेला भाग predicate आहे.
• Subject हा noun & pronoun असू शकतो . त्यात एक किंवा एकापेक्षा जास्त शब्द असू शकतात.
• Predicate मध्ये verb असतो. त्यात एक किंवा याच्या पेक्षा जास्त शब्द असू शकतात.
Subject predicate

Ram smiles

• उद्देशा या भागात कर्ता असतो व त्याबद्दल माहिती विधेयकात असते.

Eg . A bird files .
A – Determiner,
Bird- Noun
Files – predicate.
